Welcome to The Texas Minstrel!
Our world has expanded this year to include woodworking!
The Minstrel began creating wooden gifts for neighbors and friends,
and we are now offering some of these to you.
Our home now contains an artist's studio and a woodshop, & music still fills the air!
"A Picture of Me," a book of poems and lyrics is still available on our About page.
Our handcrafted wood pieces are made one at a time. Each is individually cut, sanded, and then stained, or left natural. Then finishes such as Danish Oil, Walnut Oil, shellac, lacquer or other oil or water based products are applied. The pieces range from indoor, outdoor, useful, practical, to fun and whimsical!
Our inventory of ready to buy items will vary. You can place an order for an item not inventory, or if you would like, order something custom - we will make it for you as soon as possible.
The left is made from 1/2" rough cedar approx 14", the right from 1" thick Eastern Red Cedar approx 15". One side hinged for cleaning! We can make one for you!
We have freestanding crosses with a live edge (you can see bark on one side). You can choose a vase (as shown) or a votive candle. Let us make one for you! email us!
